How Endzeit used the space

From gallery floor to dance floor.

Endzeit booked Broadway Studios for three consecutive days for California: a shifting identity, billed as the closing event of San Francisco Art Week. The upstairs theatre held the exhibition, screenings and electronic music. The installations stayed in place while lighting, projection and sound changed the character of the room.

Afternoons

Open the gallery

Visitors could walk through the exhibition and return across the weekend. Artist talks brought the work into conversation.

Evenings

Shift the room

Ambient sets bridged the exhibition and the late program. Otherwise World(s) screened on Saturday and Sunday.

Overnight

Bring music to the center

Friday and Saturday continued overnight with electronic music. A DJ setup in the middle of the theatre gave the crowd space around the performance.

One setup, different moments.

From the balcony, watch the crowd circle the DJ booth while projections move across the screens overhead.
